The Screw of a Door's Latch
The Screw of a Door's Latch
The Screw of a Door’s Latch explores the tension between technological advancement and the heightened vulnerability it can create. The work is rooted in my own experience living in environments where hidden cameras in bathrooms, transport and hotel rooms have become disturbingly common. These violations turn private moments into anonymous online content, leaving one to navigate fear, paranoia and the constant uncertainty of being watched. Through this work, I aim to communicate that lived experience along with the oscillation between calm and chaos when privacy is no longer guaranteed.
